True leadership reveals itself in times of crisis. The ability to stay calm, inspire trust, and turn challenges into opportunities is what defines the best managers. Helena Grofová, Project Manager of the Czech Management Association (CMA), shared this insight in an interview for BusinessInfo.cz.

According to Grofová, modern management is no longer just about expertise — it’s about empathy, communication, and courage. The Manager of the Year competition, organised by CMA since 1993, celebrates such leaders and connects professionals from business, public administration, and academia.

This year’s edition, held at the International Engineering Fair in Brno, highlighted innovation, sustainability, and diversity as key themes.

As a proud partner of the competition, NEWTON University will host the upcoming Manager of the Year Conference on 26 November in Prague, where this year’s winners will share their leadership journeys.
