Czech e-shops have had an exceptionally strong year. Sales exceeded CZK 200 billion for the first time, with growth outpacing experts’ expectations. Czech consumers are increasingly buying electronics, home and garden products, and beauty items online, while the importance of discount events and parcel lockers continues to rise.
Our economist Jan Boubín explains in a report on TV Nova that the growth is driven mainly by a combination of rising wages, price stabilisation, and greater consumer confidence. According to experts, online shopping will continue to strengthen, supported in part by the growing role of artificial intelligence in customer decision-making.
