A competitive advantage never lasts forever. What sets a company apart today may become standard practice tomorrow. To help businesses stay ahead, NEWTON University is establishing a Centre of Excellence for Competitiveness Management, bringing together academics, business leaders, investors and talented students. The initiative has now been featured by EFMD Global.
The new Centre will help leaders understand where competitive advantage comes from, how to build it and, crucially, how to sustain it. Its work will focus on interpreting global and local trends, translating ideas into commercially successful products and helping organisations become more resilient in times of disruption.
It will also create a space where leading academics can work alongside senior executives, investors and students from the Business Leadership programme. Companies will gain direct access to the latest research, while leaders will have a trusted environment in which to exchange experience, address complex challenges and develop new approaches to growth.
“Being better than the competition is no longer enough. We need to manage competitive advantage systematically, anticipate emerging trends and build ecosystems that enable sustainable growth,” says Anna Plechatá Krausová, Chancellor of NEWTON University.
