From NEWTON University student to Premium Care ONLINE programme guarantor

I came to NEWTON University thanks to what is now, quite literally, family. We’re very much a NEWTON Family in every sense of the word. My husband studied here, his sister and her husband did as well, and she even worked at NU. Their experience — and especially the fact that NEWTON is completely different from traditional universities in its approach, atmosphere and focus on practical learning — convinced me it was the right choice.

During my studies, I fully immersed myself in university life — helping out at Open Days, completing an internship at the Study Department, assisting with final exams and taking part in a presentation skills training. My thesis, Emotional Intelligence as a Managerial Quality, wasn’t just an academic task. It became a personal project that shaped me far beyond the classroom. That’s what I value most about NEWTON University: students don’t write papers that sit in a drawer. They work on topics that genuinely matter and have real-world impact. I experienced that very strongly in my own thesis, which still makes sense to me to this day and continues to hold real value.

Thanks to NU, I entered the world of HR during my studies. I started as an intern at Notino and, within a few months, grew into a Junior Retail Recruiter. After a year and a half, I moved to a digital agency, starting in HR support and eventually becoming an HR Manager. I led the entire HR department, was part of the management team and contributed to the company’s strategic decisions.

After more than two years in the agency world, I decided to take my own path and dove into freelancing. I still work in recruitment, but now with the freedom and balance I found after moving to Switzerland. Life in the mountains taught me to slow down, reconnect with myself and find inner peace — the mountains became my therapy and my biggest source of energy.

When Evička Ambrozová, someone I deeply admire and who inspired me even during my studies, reached out with the opportunity to join the Premium Care ONLINE project, I didn’t hesitate for a second. NEWTON has always been close to my heart — thanks to the people, the approach and the values it embodies.

What I appreciate most about the Premium Care ONLINE programme is that we help students grow not only academically, but also personally. They can start working on themselves from the very beginning of their studies, develop their potential, discover their strengths and receive support in their career as well as in their personal life.
