Beyond the Corner Shop: How the Second Generation of Vietnamese Czechs Is Redefining Identity

The exhibition My Little Hanoi: Next Generation offers a compelling insight into the lives of young people growing up between two cultures. What does life look like for the so-called "banana generation", and how are they shaping contemporary Czech society? Ludmila Hruban, Academic Director for International Programmes and Sustainability Ambassador at NEWTON University, visited the exhibition and reflects on the experience in her latest article. Through a series of inspiring personal stories, she explores questions of identity, belonging and cultural heritage, while highlighting how this generation is breaking down stereotypes and helping shape the future of the Czech Republic.

The article has also been featured in Ekonomický magazín.
