Acceleration. Because time matters

Imagine two people. They have similar abilities, opportunities and dreams. Both want to achieve something in life. One turns their ambitions into reality in three years. The other takes ten.
The difference? Seven years of their lives.
That is what the principle of acceleration, one of the foundations of NEWTON Business Leadership, is all about.
We believe that what matters is not just what we achieve in life, but when we achieve it. Time is our most precious resource. By learning to make better use of our potential, we can bring our ambitions within reach sooner.
Moving faster does not mean rushing
Acceleration does not mean working longer hours, sleeping less or doing everything faster.
It means learning to make better decisions, focus on what matters, draw on other people’s experience and avoid repeating the same mistakes unnecessarily. It means turning intentions into concrete steps, and those steps into real results.
Sometimes, it also means recognising early on that we are heading in the wrong direction.
What can you use it for?
Anything that matters to you.
You might want to build a successful career. Or you might want to travel, create, develop your abilities or make more time for family and friends. You may still be figuring out what you want from life.
You do not need a business idea or a detailed life plan to benefit from acceleration.
The ability to set your own goals, find a way towards them and make meaningful progress is valuable whatever you choose to pursue.
From your first ambition to a lasting source of value
That is why we introduce students on NEWTON Business Leadership to the principle of acceleration and work with it throughout all three years of the programme.
In the first year, we focus on incubation. We explore our potential, find a direction and learn to turn ideas and aspirations into clear intentions.
In the second year, we accelerate. We learn to put our intentions into practice, overcome obstacles and achieve results more quickly and effectively.
In the third year, we build our own source of value. We create something meaningful that brings value to ourselves and others. Something we can continue to build on after graduation.
These are not three separate stages, but a growing ability to shape our own lives.
Acceleration is more than a way to achieve a single goal. It is a skill we take with us throughout our lives.
The purpose of acceleration is not to rush through life. It is to make more time for the life we truly want to live.
