Didn’t Get Into University? You Can Still Start This September

Every year, tens of thousands of school leavers across the Czech Republic set their sights on university. For most, the plan works out. They get accepted, enrol and start their studies in September.

But what if you didn’t get in?

If you’re one of the applicants who didn’t get into any university this year, you may already be coming to terms with the idea of an unwanted gap year.

Don’t give up just yet. There is still an option that allows you to start university this September: studying at Sting.

And yes, you can still make it in time for September.

You don’t have to lose a year waiting for the next round of admissions

At public universities, applications are generally submitted only once a year. That means that if you are not admitted, you may have to wait an entire year for another chance. Yes, you can wait a year. But what happens if you don’t get in the following year either? It can happen.

From the stories our students have shared with us, we know how difficult this situation can be and how complicated it can make things. And whether you like it or not, people around you can sometimes be surprisingly judgmental. Sarcastic comments and constant questions about what you are going to do next are not exactly pleasant. In some cases, they can unnecessarily undermine your confidence.

But you have done nothing wrong. Maybe you simply did not have your best day during the entrance exams, or the aptitude tests did not play to your strengths. Whatever happened, it is nothing to be ashamed of. Failing an entrance exam says nothing about your ability to successfully complete a university degree. It simply means that, on that particular day, a few other applicants performed slightly better.

Start your university journey at Sting

You still have the opportunity to begin your studies this September. All you need to do is apply to Sting University, a private university in the Czech Republic.

Why choose Sting?

  • We are an established Czech university with more than 5,000 graduates.
  • We have also been recognised as the best private university in the Czech Republic.
  • Our alumni include successful entrepreneurs, tax advisers, accountants, public and financial administration professionals, managers and regional politicians.
  • Four of our graduates have gone on to successfully complete doctoral studies at public universities.

A degree from Sting can give you a solid academic foundation as well as practical experience that you can put to use from the very beginning of your career. Our students gain practical experience during their studies, helping them graduate with skills that employers value.

Which degree programmes can you study?

Our bachelor’s degree offers three specialisations:

  1. Taxation is ideal if you want to understand how taxes work and are already considering a future career as a tax adviser.
  2. Accounting is about much more than entering figures from paper documents into a computer. Technology is transforming the profession, while demand for skilled accountants remains high.
  3. Understanding business finance is essential for anyone who wants to succeed in the world of business. In Management Accounting and Controlling, you will learn how to manage costs across an organisation, prepare budgets and calculations, and much more.

And if you are wondering how you will cover the cost of your tuition, we work with industry partners who may be able to help cover it for you.

So why wait another year?

Apply to Sting and start your university journey this September.

We look forward to welcoming you.
