Sting at the 2024 Meeting of Accounting, Tax and Finance Departments

On 23 May, the University of Pardubice hosted the traditional Meeting of Accounting, Tax and Finance Departments. We were delighted that representatives of Sting – Monika Hodinková and Pavel Semerád – were able to take part in the event.

This annual event is a valuable opportunity to build meaningful connections with universities across the Czech Republic and coordinate joint teaching and research activities.

Following opening remarks by Dean Jan Stejskal and Jan Černohorský, Head of the organising department, representatives of the participating departments introduced themselves. This was followed by a joint discussion on opportunities for future cooperation.

We also discussed how teaching can be adapted to meet the needs of the new generation of students (Generation Z) and explored the use of artificial intelligence in science and research. As a fun addition to the programme, the organisers prepared a knowledge quiz about the city of Pardubice.

The afternoon session had a very informal atmosphere and provided plenty of opportunities for engaging discussions. We visited the Sféra educational centre and took part in a guided tour of the historic part of Pardubice.

There was certainly a lot to take away from the event, and we are very grateful that we could be part of it!

We would like to thank the organisers for the invitation and sincerely hope that we will continue to build, develop, and strengthen cooperation with other universities in the years to come.
